Preparing For The New School Year

Beginning a new school year is always an exciting time for teachers and students. As a teacher I am always looking for ways to engage and inspire my students from the first day, setting them up with a positive attitude and mindset for the year ahead.

Designing a classroom that students feel welcomed in is a high priority. I want my students to feel comfortable to explore their wonderings and ideas and to be a place where they can learn from their failures and celebrate their successes.   

I love connecting and collaborating with educators from around the world. I am continually inspired by the wonderful teaching community that share their classroom design and resources on Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. There are so many fantastic ideas on these platforms that teachers can use or adapt to suit their contexts.
